Mariapia Balfour - I have a lifelong interest in photography through watching my father using the wet collodion process and who has now moved to digital photography at 83. A few years ago I took courses that led to a Licentiateship at the RPS. My photographs are a testimony to my passion for landscape photography, translating both sweeping vistas and intricate details into artful compositions, which draw the eye into the scene or take an alternative look at the familiar. I use 35mm film, scanning into PhotoShop to generate colour prints. I prefer a traditional wet darkroom for monochrome work.
